Mazunte Turtle Preserve Bath & Body Products

When turtle preservation efforts were put into place, the main source of income from the community of Masunte-turtle harvesting along the shores of one of Mexico's primary turtle nesting grounds-was eliminated. Though an ingenious business effort, a cooperative was formed to make and market all-natural body and hair care products from avocado, coconut oils, and other locally available ingredients. The result is a sumptuous line of attractively packaged personal care products, whose proceeds support the Masunte community.
